The company I work for maintains several systems in a variety of locations. Each one requires a continuous power supply, so they each have an APC UPS.

Apparently, the network engineers have decided that it is best to replace a UPS when it begins to beep constantly instead of replacing the battery.

Me: Whatcha gonna do with that?
Them: Throw it out.
Me: Can I have it?
Them: Sure. Why not?

YO HOWDY! POTENTIAL STOCKPILE! Once I recondition the ones I have I may be able to offer them up at cost!

The company I work for sells computer networks to a specific type of business and we require every computer on the network to have a battey back-up.

We buy APC's with a two year warranty but sell them to the customer with a one year warranty. What do think we do when the battery dies after 18 months?

We make the customer buy a new APC and use our warranty on the dead one to have the battery replaced, then we re-sell it.

We actually only do this to customers who are complete pains in the ass. It can be quite satisfying.

The 'company' I work for just bought a $2,000 computer , with a printer , scanner , ploter , negative scanner . For a totaly of about $4,000 (It's a small company).Just to make stickers. Then they have the two biggest tweakers / morons work on them. They fuck everything up , call me all the time and ask me questions. Now , I don't know a whole lot about computers..but I know enough per say. Anyway

It just makes me bitter because it's at their house and people are always going over there and drinking and shit like that. Plus they are moron's in every aspect.
