How does one go about taking a zip file from his comp. to be put into a post?

What program did you open it with? I can't get it to open in anything. It's there, just can't open it.

And what if the file is too big and there isn't a url or anything but you really want to post it?

Billy, if you get <a href=http://www.winrar.com>winrar</a> you can spilt the file up into files that equal the limit of 208000 or whatever it is.

I use PKZIP but I have a liscensed copy.

Google is your friend. Free+zip has some interesting hits. Havent delved too deep. Remember, please keep any questionable 'alternatives' out of this public forum.

Are they still freeware or share? Didnt bother to look them up. I've grown lazy on the corporate liscenses I am provided with.

They give an evaluation period, but even when it's up the program still functions the same. They don't lock you out.
